Brazilian Jiu Jitsu belts.
The belt colours in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are
I. White (Faixa Branca).
II. Blue (Faixa Azul).
III. Purple (Faixa Roxa).
IV. Brown (Faixa Marrom).
V. Black (Faixa Preta).
In many schools, the teacher uses the grade system so the student may have until 4 grades before passing to another colour. Because of that, all the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu belts have a black area at one of the extremes.
