Although Kingz Kimonos was launched in 2011, the person behind the brand, Bruno Munduruca, has been in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu clothing industry since before 2000.
At that time he was a pioneer launching MMA Gear in Brazil, with the first online shop selling BJJ kimonos and MMA gear outside of Brazil.
In fact the founder of RoninWear was a customer in those early years and the difficulties in distribution, especially in the last years of MMA Gear, were what gave rise to the idea that it would be interesting to launch a shop to provide those same products directly from Spain to all of Europe, therefore avoiding imports or problems with shipments from other continents.
MMA Gear closed in 2005 and after a few years in different jobs, Bruno decided to use his experience and contacts in the industry to launch the BJJ brand Kingz Kimonos.
All of this helped the brand to be quickly recognised worldwide, with the signing of the most renowned BJJ fighters such as Andre Galvao, Leandro Lo, Mackenzie Dern or Mica Galvao to its team of sponsored athletes and it is now one of the leading brands in the world.
In addition to their wide range of men's kimonos, they have managed to position themselves very well in the women's market with their Kingz kimonos for women.
Their designs are usually very elegant and they have a wide variety of kimonos for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in all price ranges and with different weights.
Some of their most popular models are the Kingz Ultralight kimono or the Kingz One.
Recently, the brand has also focused on launching a line of casual wear obviously inspired by Jiu Jitsu.
