The first version of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu kimono for kids KOARENA Chita went on sale in March 2016.
After more than 5 years and with hundreds of units sold, we have updated this kimono keeping a very similar design, but with a slightly lighter fabric in the jacket to make the kimono less heavy and more comfortable when training.
So if you are looking for a BJJ kimono for your son or daughter, we assure you that the KOARENA Chita V2 Kids BJJ Gi kimono will be a perfect choice.
The jacket is made from 350 GSM Pearl Weave cotton fabric (the standard in adult kimonos).
This fabric is very consistent and unlike other brands, the jacket of this kimono for boy or girl is completely made of the same fabric used for adult BJJ kimonos.
As for the design of the jacket, it has a patch on each shoulder and on the front bottom it has an embroidery with our mascot for kids, Cheetah, the cute cheetah cub dressed in his kimono and belt.
On the back, the jacket now has no patch or embroidery so that children can put on their academy patch if they want.
The lapels of the jacket of this BJJ kimono for children are also made in a similar way to those of the adult kimono, with 6 reinforcement seams and rubber inside to make them more rigid and resistant.
As for the pants, they are made of 8 oz. cotton twill and have an elastic waistband so that the child can easily put on the pants without the help of an adult.
The pants also have an internal drawstring for small children where the elastic waistband is not enough to hold them in place.
The pants have two patches, one on the side of each leg, and match the patches on the shoulders of the jacket.
