The MKM Competition is the star kimono from Koral for brazilian jiu jitsu. This 2018, it has been renewed to celebrate its fourteenth birthday, maintaining the esence that made this gi iconic for practising the gentle art, especially its caracteristic design that features a big patch on the chest and both shoulders.
Launched initially in 2004, the MKM Competition gi has experienced several updates from then in order to adapt its cut and design to the necessities of the sporties and Koral sponsored athletes, becoming the official gi for competitions.
The main difference between this new Koral MKM Competition and the old version is the presence of ripstop cotton on the jacket's collar and the pants. On the previous model, both were made of twill cotton. The adventages of using ripstop cotton are, on the one hand, increase the endurance of the gi and, on the other hand, make it lighter, specially in the case of the pants.
