ADCC - The most important competition of Grappling and Submission 19 Sep 2017

Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Championship, a.k.a ADCC is a competition where the most important athletes from BJJ, Wrestling, Judo Sambo and MMA face each other.

Our sponsored athlete Elvira Karppinen “Ellu” was invited to participate in ADCC, taking place in Finland at Espoo Metro Arena on 23rd e 24th of September.

Karppinen invited to participate in ADCC 2017.

Our champion had a summer fulfilled of victories. Despite the fact that has been defeated at  Polaris 5 in the last 19th of August by referee decision “Ellu” Karppinen took 6 wins in a row at Open Finland (IBJJF Open) on 26th e 27th August. This results allow her to be at NO GI Open in December.

The Jiu Jitsu Elite at ADCC

Among others, the favourites for this competitions are Mackenzie Dern (USA), ADCC 2015 champion, Michelle Nicolini (Brasil) and Beatriz Mesquita (Brasil), ainda que também esteja Ffion Davies (GB), European Trial champion and Karpinnen opponent at Polaris 5.

A great Challenge for Elvira Karppinen

When her career started, Elvira Karppinen had the goal and also the dream to participate in this international competition where she would face the 8 most proeminent women in the world of Grappling.

“Few years ago, I couldn't imagine that, in a couple of days my dream will come true" stated Elvira wich refers also to the previlege of ADCC 2017 is happening in Finland!
